Trust Badge Levels

EVV Verified

Our highest level of verification. Extra Virgin Vault has directly reviewed an independent chemistry panel from the producer that include at least one of: free fatty acids, phenols, or organoleptic panel assessment. Lab results meet international extra virgin standards and verification applies to the latest release only.

Third Party Verified

Independent recognition. Oil has received recognition from reputable international awards competitions (such as NYIOOC, EVOO World Ranking, TerraOlivo) or has been verified by recognised standards bodies confirming it meets domestic extra virgin olive oil standards. Verification applies to the latest release only.

Published Results

Producer transparency. The producer has published chemistry on their website or marketing materials. Results include at least one of: free fatty acids, phenols, or organoleptic panel assessment. Information has not been independently verified by Extra Virgin Vault. Applies to the latest release only.

Producer Contacted

Direct confirmation. The producer has been contacted and has confirmed the accuracy of this listing or provided updates to the information shown. This applies to all releases going forward until the producer becomes uncontactable in future.

New

Awaiting verification. Oil has been added to the database but not yet verified by any reliable source. This doesn't indicate poor quality - it simply means we haven't been able to confirm the details through our verification process yet. This trust level expires after 90 days if no verification is completed.

Unconfirmed

Verification failed. Producer has not responded to verification attempts and no third-party sources corroborate this product. It may still be legitimate, but we have been unable to establish contact with the producer.

• Best effort approach - We make reasonable efforts to verify information but make no warranties about accuracy
• Appeals process - Producers can contact us to appeal their trust level designation or provide additional verification
• Regular updates - Trust levels are updated as new information becomes available
