Valle del Belice Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The Valle del Belice follows the Belice river through western Sicily towards the coast near the ancient Greek city of Selinunte. Olive growing here is closely tied to the Nocellara del Belice cultivar, and the Valle del Belice PDO covers the Trapani province municipalities of Castelvetrano, Campobello di Mazara, Partanna, Poggioreale, Salaparuta and Santa Ninfa, requiring at least 70% Nocellara del Belice in the blend. The catalogued olive production comes from Papa Vince, a family brand whose early-harvest, unfiltered Nocellara del Belice oil is made with family and local growers around Santa Ninfa and sold through its US-based online shop.
