Totara Tunnel Olives

Totara Tunnel Olives is a certified organic olive grove located in Te Horo, Kapiti. Established as a boutique producer, it has earned recognition since 2018 for its extra virgin olive oil, including four consecutive gold medals at the New Zealand Extra Virgin Olive Oil Awards (2018–2021), Best in Class titles in 2019–2021, and the 2021 Reserve Best Boutique award in New Zealand. Its 2021 Frantoio oil received a gold medal at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition. The grove operates off-grid, utilising renewable energy, and adheres to organic principles under BioGro NZ certification, with the 2023 harvest featuring the BioGro label. Production involves rigorous compliance with Olives New Zealand standards for chemical, sensory, and labelling criteria to ensure certified extra virgin quality.
