Teshima Olive

Teshima Olive is the olive oil project represented by the Teshima online shop, focused on extra virgin olive oil made entirely from olives grown on Teshima in the eastern Seto Inland Sea. The olives are hand-harvested on the island and pressed within 24 hours, with production kept small and seasonal.

The project is closely tied to the island's environmental recovery story. According to the shop's about page, the olives used for these oils come from trees planted after the Teshima environmental settlement, and the oils are presented as a local expression of the island rather than a generic marketplace product.
