Skabe Farmhouse sits in Muntic near Pula in Istria County, Croatia, where generations of the family have nurtured olive groves amid ancient ruins on the Northern Adriatic coast, upholding a tradition of olive oil production from Greek and Roman times. They craft certified organic extra virgin olive oil solely from estate-grown native Istrian Buža olives, hand-harvested while still mostly green and rushed to the mill for same-day processing to ensure top quality. This labour-intensive approach produces a green-gold oil rich in polyphenols, with a bright grassy, fruity aroma and peppery finish.
