Shonan Olive is a Japanese olive oil producer based in Nakai, Kanagawa Prefecture, that began cultivating olive trees in 2014. Starting with a small number of trees, they have grown to manage approximately 78,000 olive trees on sun-drenched hillsides overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Their philosophy centres on crafting rich, flavourful extra virgin olive oil through careful, hands-on cultivation and processing, with olives hand-picked and pressed within 24 hours of harvest. Their commitment to quality has earned top honours including the 'Best of JOOP' award at the Japan Olive Oil Prize 2026, marking the first time a Japanese olive oil received this recognition.
