Sempervivum's heritage dates back to the mid-19th century on the red, stony soil of Veleniki, just 4 km from Poreč in Istria, Croatia. Istrian farmers worked tirelessly in olive groves and fields, coaxing top-quality produce from this challenging terrain with uncertain yields. Their extra virgin olive oil, like the Istrian variety, is mechanically extracted and cold-pressed on the same day as harvest, delivering intense aroma and flavour. Rooted in hard labour and premium craftsmanship, they maintain this tradition with their spirits and other local goods.
