Proudly owned by Master Miller Nick Wilkinson and his wife Brenda since 2010, RIO LARGO OLIVE ESTATE lies in the fertile Scherpenheuwel Valley, along the southern banks of South Africa’s Breede River. This stunning region enjoys a Mediterranean-style climate—sun-drenched days, crisp winters, and pure irrigation from the Breede River and Brandvlei systems, ideal conditions for growing exceptional olives.

Specialising in the Frantoio, Coratino, FS17, and Leccino cultivars, RIO LARGO produces award-winning extra virgin olive oil with uncompromising quality. Every stage of the process, from tree to table, is meticulously managed on-site. At the heart of the estate is a state-of-the-art MORI TEM extraction and bottling facility, ensuring that each bottle offers freshness, full traceability, and world-class flavour.

RIO LARGO has also become known for their unique packaging solutions. The decanters on tap are now available in a reusable format – a world first.

But RIO LARGO is more than just fine olive oil. It’s a heartfelt commitment to both planet and people. The team practices sustainable farming; utilising efficient water systems, composting, and biodynamic methods, while also investing in local communities. From wellness initiatives and school support to training programs, they’re nurturing growth in every sense.

Since launching with a Double Gold in 2010, RIO LARGO has garnered prestigious awards both locally and abroad, proudly putting South African olive oil on the global map. The oils are now enjoyed in over 12 countries, including through MY GLOBAL TABLE in the USA, and have earned special accolades such as the 98-point rating in the acclaimed FLOS OLEI Guide.

With a focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation, RIO LARGO OLIVE ESTATE continues to lead the way in producing authentic, premium olive oil; rooted in passion, crafted with care.
