Rheos
Rheos Istria is a family-owned olive oil producer in the elevated, sea-swept micro-location of Kamponovo near Dajla and Novigrad in Istria, Croatia, where persistent winds and saline air enhance olive quality. Grandfather Mario planted the first 60 trees in 1981, his son Dušan expanded the groves in the 1990s, and now Andrea Brečević leads with the same passion for Istrian soil and olives. They cultivate indigenous and introduced varieties including Leccino, Istarska Bjelica, Buža, Pendolino, and Frantoio to make extra virgin olive oils like Rheos Buža, Premium Blend, Rheos Istarska Bjelica, and Rheos Leccino. The brand name 'Rheos', meaning 'flow' in Greek, symbolises the transformation of fresh olives into premium oil across three generations.
