Rare Hare Wines
Rare Hare is a winery and restaurant located on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, operating from an 11-hectare vineyard planted in 1989. The estate specialises in cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with all wines made on-site by winemaker Geraldine McFaul and viticulturist Ant Davenport. The property features a restaurant with wood-fired oven dining for 90 guests, a cellar door open daily from 11am to 5pm for wine tastings, and is part of the Jackalope Hotel complex. Rare Hare has introduced olive oil to their range, using olives sourced from 515 Grove on the Mornington Peninsula - the olives are from Tuscan varieties, picked early and cold-pressed within hours to preserve flavour and antioxidants.
