Olyfberg
Olyfberg, located on the banks of the Breede River near Robertson, South Africa, began cultivating olives in 1995. The farm, acquired in 2016 by the Karan and Retief families, spans 75 hectares of Frantoio, Leccino, Koratina, Manzanella, and Kalamata cultivars. Olives are handpicked to select the largest, healthiest fruit, which is cold-pressed on-site to preserve flavour integrity. Olyfberg’s extra virgin olive oil received recognition as one of South Africa’s top 10 oils in 2018 and earned a gold award at the 2022 Dubai Olive Oil Competition. Operations focus on quality control, with table olives and oils produced for both domestic and international markets. The farm’s production facility remains central to maintaining consistency in processing methods, while its orchards continue to expand under integrated agricultural management.
