Nullamunjie
Nullamunjie is an Australian producer of extra virgin olive oil based in Tongio, eastern Victoria, near Mount Stawell and the Tambo River. They grow traditional Tuscan olive varieties such as Correggiola, Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino, with recent plantings introducing Coratina as well. All olives are grown, harvested and processed on the single estate, and only their own olives are used in the oil. The grove has about 3,000 established trees, planted since 1998, with another 3,000 young trees recently added. Harvest now takes place in April, reflecting earlier ripening. Nullamunjie uses organic methods without any pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilisers, and benefits from a climate and stony soil similar to Tuscany, which helps produce a flavourful olive oil.
