Mount Zero Olives began in 1946 when Jacob Friedman planted Australia’s first commercial olive groves in the Wimmera/Grampians region. Today, the company sources olives from the Wimmera/Grampians and other Victorian groves, focusing on flavor, sustainability, and quality. The Seymour family, who purchased part of Friedman’s original plantation in 1993, now works with local growers to produce olive oil and other products. They partner with the Barengi Gadjin Land Council to harvest Pink Lake salt sustainably, respecting Indigenous traditions and the environment. With 30 years of experience, Mount Zero follows ethical practices, including biodynamic farming, sustainable packaging, and collaborations with farmers like the Casey family for yuzu.
