Morgan Olive Oil
Morgan Olive Oil is based in the village of Grintovec in Slovenian Istria, at 219 metres above sea level, surrounded by unspoilt nature. In the late 1990s, the company expanded operations by restoring local olive groves and planting 1000 new trees. Cultivation follows organic practices, with olives grown under Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) standards to support environmental and health considerations. The groves primarily feature the Istrian Belica variety, alongside Maurino, Leccino, Buga, Itrana, and Štorta, which is used for table olives. Harvesting occurs by hand at optimal maturity, with selected fruits processed on the harvest day in a modern oil mill. Extraction uses cold pressing at temperatures below 27°C and mechanical methods compliant with organic farming regulations. Post-extraction, the oil is filtered to eliminate solid particles and water, then stored under controlled conditions until bottling.
