Mate Olive Oil

Mate Olive Oil comes from Zambratija in Croatia's Istrian region, where olive groves near the sea enjoy ideal conditions of sun, wind, soil, and sea. Mate Vekić planted his first olive tree at the age of 75 around the turn of the millennium and built an oil mill overlooking the sea. The company, ORNA D.O.O., carefully harvests olives each year and presses them in real time, combining traditional methods with modern technology. Their oils have earned international recognition, including a Flos Olei score of 100/100 in both 2025 and 2026. The product range includes CENTUM, NOVUM, BIANCA BELLEZZA, VIOLA TONDA, TRASPARENZA MARINA, TIMBRO ISTRIANO, BLEND, ARANCIA and LIMONE. Their simple philosophy maximises the natural qualities of the olives to produce organic extra virgin oils that capture Istria's unique aromas and flavours.
