Lot Eight
Lot Eight is a New Zealand olive oil producer established in 1997 when Colin and Nalini Baruch purchased a year-old olive grove. As pioneers in New Zealand's olive industry, they have developed from modest beginnings into regional leaders known for their premium extra virgin olive oils. The company manages the entire production process from farm to kitchen, working with contract growers and local mills in Carteton and Featherston. Nalini, drawing on her Indian heritage and culinary experimentation, has created unique flavoured oils including Citrus, Harissa and Yuzu variants, some developed in collaboration with chefs. Lot Eight also operates a commercial kitchen that doubles as a demonstration space where visitors can sample their products by appointment.
