Leafyridge Olives Ltd, based in the Gladstone region of Wairarapa, New Zealand, produces home-grown extra virgin olive oil and infused oils. Established in July 1999 by the Leaf-Wright family, the grove now comprises over 4,000 trees situated along the Ruamahanga river in stony, free-draining soils—ideal conditions for producing some of the finest olive oils in the world.

The orchard features varieties from Italy (Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino), France (Picholene), Greece (Koroneiki), and Spain (Manzanillo, Picual). Harvesting takes place from mid-May until mid-July each year using both mechanical harvesters and hand harvesting with electric rakes. In May 2020, the family established their own olive mill on the grove, featuring a modern 2-phase process that uses minimal fresh water, retains higher polyphenol content, and produces more intense flavours.

Certified under the Olives New Zealand red Olive Mark scheme, their oils meet international standards set by the International Olive Oil Council. As part of the Olives New Zealand Focus Grove Project, they are committed to sustainable practices with the goal of eliminating chemical use entirely.

The company welcomes visitors to the grove and offers a range of products including extra virgin olive oil, infused oils (100mL and 250mL bottles), and gift boxes. Seasonal weather challenges in 2024 affected crop yields, leading to temporary stock shortages, though production resumed with the May 2025 harvest.

Recognised for quality, Leafyridge has received multiple awards at the Olives New Zealand Awards, including Best Flavoured Oil in Show and a Gold medal for their Chilli agrumato oil in 2020. At the 2025 Annual Awards, their oils won eight Silver medals and one Bronze medal. Most notably, they have been awarded the Best Processor Award for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025). Contact details are provided for inquiries, with operations centred at 244 Dakins Road, Masterton.
