Karataş Zeytinyağı

Karataş Zeytinyağı is a family-run olive mill based in Yerkesik, Menteşe, in Muğla Province, Türkiye. As a yağhane, they mill olives from mountain villages across the wider Muğla hinterland, then select specific lots to bottle under the Karataş label when they meet the desired character and balance they're aiming for.

Karataş is a small lot selector and bottler working with fruit from places such as Yerkesik, Ula, Akyaka, Köyceğiz, Fethiye, Marmaris, and Bodrum. They process olives the same day they arrive, filtration is kept minimal and only some lots are retained for the Karataş label while the rest go back to the growers.
