Kante Farm

Kante Farm (Kmetija Kante) in Šempas, Vipavska dolina, is the olive growing farm of the family owned Kerinba d.o.o., which was established in 1992. In 2011 Ernest Kante converted the vineyard to an olive grove and planted the first 500 trees - the farm now tends about 1,250 olive trees and 1,200 hazels across 8 hectares, and Blaž Kante has run it since 2024. Harvest usually takes place from late September to the end of October, depending on variety, ripeness and the season, with fruit processed as soon as possible after picking. The family produces both single-varietal and blended extra virgin olive oils. They prioritise early harvesting and fruit quality, alongside their hazelnuts and honey.
