Huangarua Olives, established in 2005, is a family-run estate in Martinborough, New Zealand, situated alongside the Huangarua River. The grove was planted on land previously cleared of weeds—what was historically known as 'the bull run'—and spans 900 trees. The region shares the same mineral-rich, free-draining soils that have made Martinborough's wine industry internationally renowned.

Two signature blends are produced annually: an Italian-style mix of Frantoio, Leccino, and Pendolino with a grassy, peppery character, and a Barnea-Manzanillo blend offering a rounded, fruity profile with a subtle bite. Harvesting occurs at 30% green, 30% red, and 30% black ripeness stages to ensure freshness, with olives pressed within 12 hours to preserve quality. The grove is managed with a focus on soil health and natural practices, though not certified organic.

Products are available in 250ml bottles at NZ $18 each, with the 2025 harvest now available. Huangarua Olives also partners with 'We Love Local' to offer their oils in mini-hampers. Sustainability is prioritised through long-term stewardship, aiming to maintain and enhance land quality. The producers welcome customer feedback and are active in ongoing product development.

Huangarua's oils have received multiple accolades, including Gold and 'Best in Class' at the 2011 New Zealand National EVOO Awards, alongside silver and bronze medals since 2009.
