Grassy Spur Olives
Grassy Spur Olives is a family-run olive grove in Stony Creek, South Gippsland, Victoria, established in 2005. Located in the green rolling hills of South Gippsland, known for its clean air and excellent rainfall, the grove sits on rolling hills with strong winds and now has over 1,500 olive trees planted in four sections, featuring varieties like Picual, Frantoio, Coratina, and others.
Their cold pressed extra virgin olive oil is hand picked, carefully produced, and described as rich, spicy and full of flavour. Olives are processed onsite shortly after harvesting to maintain quality, with some oils bottled separately by variety and others blended. Bees and clover support pollination, and the grove also produces pure, untreated, unblended honey from the bees on the property. The grove also includes truffle trees.
Their extra virgin olive oil has won multiple awards nationally and internationally since participating in the National Australian Olive Association Awards since 2011. Recent awards include a Platinum Medal and Best in Show (Boutique) for their Frantoio at the 2024 Australian International Olive Competition, along with multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals across their Picual, Coratina, and Picholine varieties.
