Gooramadda Olives
Gooramadda Olives is an award-winning agritourism business located near Rutherglen in Victoria's wine region, run by Melanie Coid and Rob Whyte since 2013 when they moved from Sydney seeking a country lifestyle. Their grove, situated on a hill overlooking the Murray River, produces some of Australia's most highly acclaimed olives and extra virgin olive oils, consistently winning championships for their Kalamata, green, and black olives.
The business holds OliveCare® certification through the Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil (AEVOO) programme, ensuring their products meet Australian standards for quality and authenticity. Their recent accolades include Reserve Champion at the 2025 International Olive Awards for their Black Manzanillo olives, continuing a strong tradition of award-winning productions that spans over a decade.
Beyond their olive products, they create sugar-free dressings, tapenades, and handmade olive oil and goat's milk soaps. The property features beautiful gardens with hundreds of roses, hydrangeas, iris, orchids, proteas, and citrus trees used for their homemade jams and marmalades. Located on Gooramadda Road, they sit adjacent to John Gehrig Wines, making the area ideal for combining wine and olive tasting experiences. Visitors can enjoy educational tastings at their farm shop, which is open Saturdays (10am-5pm), Sundays (10am-3pm) and most public holidays, with midweek visits available by appointment.
