Fukuda-san chi no Olive-en

Fukuda-san chi no Olive-en is a family run olive farm located in Reihoku, Kumamoto Prefecture, on the Amakusa islands of Japan. The couple behind the operation grow olives without the use of pesticides during the cultivation period, instead using lactic acid bacteria extract as fertiliser. They handle everything from harvest to cold pressing on-site, producing extra virgin olive oil that is pressed within 12-24 hours of picking to preserve freshness. Alongside their premium Amakusa olive oil, they also make preserved olives and olive tea, which visitors can enjoy at their sea view café.
