Flinders Island Olive Oil is a small, organic olive grove started in 2002 by Jude and Mary-Anne, who moved from Melbourne to Flinders Island, Tasmania, to pursue a shared dream. They planted olive trees on land near Killiecrankie, learning skills as they went to grow, harvest, and process olives into oil.

The grove is tucked behind the sand dunes in Killiecrankie on the north east tip of Flinders Island, making it a distinctive coastal olive growing site. The orchard features a blend of olive varieties including Frantoio, Leccino, Picual, Coratina, Picholine, and Barnea.

Harvest takes place between April and June, with olives picked by hand or using handheld picking rakes to ensure careful handling. The grove produces high phenolic extra virgin olive oil and is the only certified organic olive operation on the island. The oil is OliveCare certified and freshness tested.

The business continues as a hands-on, local effort rooted in their connection to the land, producing more oil than the local area uses.
