Durant Olive Mill is Oregon's first commercial olive mill, established in 2008 on 15 acres with a state-of-the-art Italian mill. The company produces extra virgin olive oil using olives from their own grove and carefully selected growers in Northern California, processing everything on-site to maintain freshness through timely milling, nitrogen-capped storage in stainless steel tanks, and weekly bottling. Durant has won gold awards at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for eight consecutive years and operates the Pacific Northwest's only Olioteca, offering olive oil tastings, tours, and educational experiences. The mill typically begins processing in mid to late October, with visitors welcome to observe the milling process, and hosts an annual Olio Nuovo Festival throughout November celebrating the fresh harvest with food producers, artists, live music, and tastings.
