Cockatoo Grove
Cockatoo Grove is an Australian olive oil producer located on historic Cobram Station near the Upper Murray River in North West Victoria. They grow certified organic extra virgin olive oil across 25,000 European olive trees in red soil, with the region's cool, sunny winters and long, hot summers aiding ripening. The grove primarily cultivates Italian and Spanish olive cultivars including Frantoio, Correggiola, Leccino and Arbequina, selected for their consistent oil yield. Established in 1996 by Ken and Joan Dugan, the grove uses a computer-controlled underground drip irrigation system to save water. Olives are pressed on-site shortly after harvest and stored in oxygen-free stainless steel tanks to maintain quality. The oil is certified organic, grown and processed without the use of synthetic chemicals, fertilisers or genetically modified organisms, and is known for its robust flavour with a peppery finish. The oil is 100% Australian and suitable for cooking, salads and baking.
