Boccabella Farms

Boccabella Farms Co is an olive oil producer located in San Miguel, California, owned and operated by Shaana Rahman and Johnny Jantz. The couple transitioned into farming driven by their interest in cooking with fresh ingredients, with Johnny bringing three decades of experience from the restaurant and hospitality industry. Their operation focuses on producing extra virgin olive oil from their orchard, where both owners are involved in daily farm management and quality oversight.

The name is derived from Shaana's maternal grandmother, Julia Boccabella Maglio-"Boccabella" translating to "beautiful mouth" in Italian. Even the product packaging incorporates artwork created by Shaana's mother decades before the farm was started, featuring portraits of family members.

Boccabella Farms produces two signature oils. Their 100% Arbequina extra virgin olive oil offers peppery, spicy and grassy notes, while their Field Blend combines Spanish and Italian varietals for a rich, buttery and fruity profile. The farm has earned three Gold Awards at the California Olive Oil Council (COOC) competition, and their label designs have won awards in packaging competitions. Shaana Rahman serves as president of the COOC's board of directors.

Boccabella Farms is committed to sustainable and organic farming practices while serving an educated, food-conscious consumer base. Their oils are available at Palace Market, Carla's Fresh Market, Spice of Life, Market Hall Foods, and McPrice Myers Winery. The farm offers olive oil tasting by appointment at their tasting room.
