Bilini
OPG Rakovac, a family-run producer in the village of Rakovci in Istria, Croatia, creates Bilini extra virgin olive oil from groves such as Kamenjak, Proganj, Zacrikva, Vrta, Pricrikva, and Zatrsina. The orchards are situated in the village of Rakovci, a few kilometers from Baderna and approximately ten kilometres from Poreč along Croatia's Istrian coast.
Named after great-grandfather Ivan Šergo 'Bilin', the business has been cultivating olives for 25 years, with olives harvested at the optimal time to ensure premium quality. The oil is produced by blending varieties from their groves to create balanced expressions such as Bilini and the premium Bilini Premium. The family follows a philosophy of producing first for family and friends, with any surplus sold to customers.
Their commitment to authenticity and quality has been recognized with multiple gold medals at international competitions, including seven consecutive gold awards at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition and three consecutive gold medals at the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards (2023, 2024 and 2025).
The oils are available in a range of sizes including 0.1L, 0.25L, 0.5L and 1L glass bottles, as well as 1L and 5L tins. Gift boxes and wooden presentation boxes are also available. Visitors can experience the oils at the tasting room located at Vidikovac 68 in Pula.
