Barrocal

Barrocal is a family-run estate in Alentejo, Portugal, near the historic village of Monsaraz, that has been in the same family for over eight generations. The estate produces organic extra virgin olive oils, including single-varietal oils from Galega and Bical olives as well as a blend of both varieties, grown across 60 hectares of olive groves. Under the leadership of José António Uva, the eighth-generation owner, the estate has been developed as a farm retreat that respects its Neolithic heritage and ancient megalithic monuments. The philosophy centres on reconnecting visitors with the land while preserving the estate's ecological and cultural legacy.
