Amor é Cego is a family-run estate in Portugal's Alentejo region, near Évora, where olive groves planted by their grandfather over 60 years ago are carefully tended. They produce a single, 100% Galega extra virgin olive oil from these old, dryland trees, hand-harvesting the olives and cold-pressing them on the same day to preserve quality. Their philosophy prioritises quality over quantity, accepting a low yield while transitioning to organic practices. Visitors are welcome to tour the historic estate, learn about the native Galega variety, and taste the oil beneath the ancient trees.
