Villa Eva Leccino extra virgin olive oil is produced from pure organic Leccino olives, an early variety known for both oil and table use. Harvested by hand in mid-October from groves in Goriška Brda, Kozana, on opoka terrain of marl, sandstone and limestone layers. Cold extracted below 22°C in two phases, yielding 1 litre of oil per 12-13 kg of olives. It has a gold-green colour, slightly fruity aroma with notes of citrus and green apples, and a mild, balanced taste that is vaguely bitter with discreet sharpness, plus bitter, astringent, spicy and sweet notes. Gentle flavour of green olive fruits and citrus, with scent of aromatic herbs; suits fish appetizers.
