Harvested from Italian olive cultivars planted on rocky soils in Somerset West, Western Cape, Morgenster Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a Medium profile blend of up to 14 (unspecified) varieties! Cold-extracted within hours of harvest, this medium-profile oil presents aromas of fresh cut grass, tomato leaf, artichoke, and herbaceous notes. Balanced bitterness and pungency, with high mono-unsaturated fat content. Suitable for finishing dishes and general culinary use.

It was in 1994 that the estate's founder Giulio Bertrand planted their imported Italian cultivars.
