Made from fully ripe Ruka olives hand-harvested in late October on Etajima island in Hiroshima Prefecture, this extra virgin olive oil is cold-pressed at the estate's own mill within hours of picking. It has a fruity aroma of green banana and apple with a buttery, honey-like sweetness and gentle throat-warming pungency. The mild, sweet profile complements Japanese dishes such as miso soup, chawanmushi, sashimi and udon when used as a finishing oil.
