Lot Eight Oil Maker's Blend Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Produced by Lot Eight — producer profile
Lot Eight's Oil Maker's Blend is the company's signature extra virgin olive oil, first released in 2002. It is a seasonal blend rather than a fixed recipe. Olives New Zealand's certified-oil lists identify Leccino, Frantoio, Barnea and Manzanillo in 2023; Frantoio and Barnea in 2024; and Frantoio, Leccino and Barnea in 2025.
The Oil Maker's Blend is versatile for both cold and warm applications, suitable as a dipping oil or finishing touch for various dishes including salads, vegetables, pasta, risotto, meat, poultry, and fish.
At the Olives New Zealand awards, Oil Maker's Blend received Gold in 2022 and 2023 and Silver in 2025. No award is assigned here for 2024. Historical Olio Nuovo and New York claims have been omitted because the accessible results do not identify this exact oil confidently enough to attach them to a release.
Chemistry and sensory data is listed against the years we have found them marked against. Extra Virgin Vault made attempts to verify information with Lot Eight, but wasn't able to confirm the inconsistent chemistry published on their site.
