Grampians Olive Co. Delicate Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Late Harvest)
Grampians Olive Co. • Australia • Victoria • Grampians & Pyrenees
This organic extra virgin olive oil is cold-pressed from late-harvest purple/ripe olives, featuring rare Benito and Verdale varieties. Grown on heritage trees in the Grampians region of Victoria, Australia, the olives are rain-fed only and pressed immediately after harvest to preserve their natural flavours.
Certified organic (NASAA #3532P) and Australian Certified Extra Virgin (ID #268), this oil has a free fatty acidity of 0.19% (well below the EVOO limit). It is unfiltered, unrefined, and rich in antioxidants (polyphenols: 153 mg/kg).
The oil won Gold Medal and Trophy for Best Oil From Heritage Trees at the 2024 Australian Golden Olive Awards. Judges noted its sweet, grassy nose with hints of tomato leaf, tobacco, lemon verbena, basil, and blossoms. The palate delivers fresh intensity with red fruit flavours, green tomato, a gentle bitterness, and subtle pungency, finishing with good length and a clean mouthfeel.
A limited-release product, this oil reflects the unique terroir of Grampians and its heritage Grove.
