Gold Ridge Organic Picholine Blend Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Gold Ridge Organic Farms • πΊπΈ • Sonoma County • Updated 2025-10-19
This robust and pungent extra virgin olive oil features aromas of fresh wheatgrass and green tea, with tasting notes of arugula, artichoke, fresh green herbs, and a lingering finish of wasabi and daikon radish heat, offering a bold, spicy profile that is medium pungent and medium robust. It is made primarily from Picholine olives blended with small amounts of Aglandau, Bouteillian, Salonenque, Grossane, and Cayon varieties, all CCOF certified organic and hand picked from the farm's Sonoma County groves, then cold pressed within hours of harvest in their on site mill to preserve polyphenols and antioxidants. Ideal as a finishing oil, it pairs beautifully with strong hard cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano, pesto, Italian salsa verde, and drizzled over pasta. The oil has won numerous awards, including the 2024 Good Food Award in the Oils category, multiple Gold Medals from the New York International Olive Oil Competition (2019-2025), Los Angeles International EVOO Competition (2023-2025), California Olive Oil Council (2023-2025), and Double Gold & Best in Show at the 2024 Sonoma County Harvest Fair.
