There's so much good olive oil in Australia, but it's so hard to find a good one that's still available — especially one which is verifiably great.

I'm not part of the EVOO industry, just an interested consumer who built this for friends and family so they can buy something better than Coles brand.

Aims

I intend for Extra Virgin Vault to provide:

• Transparent oil profiles with test results, origin info, and tasting notes
• Organised collections searchable by growing region, producer and varieties
• Regular updates with new releases and awards

Listings

The site lists only those producers who sell direct to consumer from their site. We don't discriminate based on price or test results, but understand we promote those producers with verified results and a strong track record.

Updates are managed by EVV with our robot crawler, but you can also submit a listing if you'd like to be included.

Rankings in results

EVV ranks oils based on data like awards, test results (and if they're verified), varieties, history, and whether I have been able to establish contact with the producer. Our multi-factorial ranking is designed to help steer users towards the best products.

Recognised competitions & awards

We only recognise awards from the following competitions which verify the producer's identity and test results. Currently the ones we recognise are:

• Australian International Olive Awards (AIOA)
• International Olive Oil Council (IOOC)
• World Olive Oil Competition (WOOCC)
